Strike Against War Boggle

This post is about words! How neat! Keller had quite a vocabulary, she really showed it off in this speech. A few words that pretty much some up this piece are:
Fear: n. an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger
Now, this is a word that everyone should be pretty well aware of, everyone has felt it at one time or another. We've all had those weak moments when the only thing that's certain is our fear. This is true today, and it was just as true, if not more so, in 1916, when this speech was given. War is a time of pain and loads of fear, that's why this word is amazingly applicable in this speech. The government was using fear to enslave the American people and get them to do as they were told. When people are dealing with fear, that's the only thing they can deal with. They can't think straight, they can't rationalize, they can't process, they can't do anything but fear, and worry about their fear! This is a perfect oppurtunity for Good Ol' Uncle Sam to step in and make everything right!

Zombies: a person whose behavior or responses are wooden, listless, or seemingly rote; automaton. If you think that World War I and zombies don't fit together like PB and J, then I have to say that you. Are. Wrong. Now the zombies that I'm talking about aren't the walking dead kind that you may be used to. The kind I'm thinking of aren't dead or undead, and they most certainly do not eat brains! They look just like you and me, they have families and lead normal lives. Why? Because they are you and me! These "zombies" are the human race! They have been reduced to the governments tools, Keller wants to challenge that, and bring these zombies back to life!
